Providing customers with good food and a good ambiance is the recipe for a successful restaurant. It's no wonder then that restaurants around the world prefer
LPG. By providing a safe, reliable, high quality energy to these restaurants, we contribute to the high standards achieved by its customers.
Whilst good cuisine is a matter of individual taste, good cooking is the same everywhere. The vast majority of chefs would rather cook on gas,
and it's easy to see why: quicker, cleaner and better value.
Just as LPG is great at heating food, it's also ideal for heating your restaurant and terraces – just a few outdoor heaters can extend your
'al fresco' dining season by months or even enable your customers to eat outside all year round. How about cooking on the terraces with a mobile LPG
barbecue unit? No problem with mosquitoes either, as your tabletop lamps emit mosquito repellent. All fuelled by LPG and, with our advice, it's no
problem to find suitable appliances for your premises.
Back inside the restaurant, your washrooms can have a reliable hot water supply from your LPG boiler. It can even be used in suitable
dishwashers to heat the water and reduce your electricity costs. And these can be further reduced if you use LPG–fuelled refrigerators and
laundry dryers. With increasing electricity costs, a switch to LPG could be well worth the effort.
A la Carte French, traditional Vietnamese or home-cooked Italian: our customers cook all sorts.
Everybody knows about using LPG for central heating, for hot water and for cooking. But did you know that there are a multitude
of other innovative applications that could increase your guests’ comfort and improve the environment as well as save you money? Here are some of them:
Terrace heaters: The 'umbrella-style' terrace heater is growing in popularity with restaurants and inns as it provides a greater opportunity
for outside dining. This feature has two benefits for your business: it expands the number of dining/drinking guests you can accommodate, and it improves
the offer to your customers by extending the 'al fresco' season. This means a direct improvement to the bottom line as you can use your tables on the
terrace for longer, therefore keeping that maximum summer capacity throughout the year.
'Flaming Torch' lights: This appliance replaces conventional street lights with an elevated flaming torch, where the LPG supply is housed
in the base of the light. Contact Shell Gas to find out if they're available in your area.
Commercial mobile catering units and food displays: Designed to be mobile and with a stand-alone LPG power source, a comprehensive range of
commercial grade catering and food display cabinets are available. They allow resataurant to provide warm food in the best spots, for special events such as weddings, etc.
Air conditioning: LPG can be used as a very efficient alternative to electricity for new air conditioning units.
Emergency generators: If your restaurant needs to have emergency generators to ensure availability of electricity, why not use LPG? It will
give you that power with less exhaust emissions and no potential for ground contamination. LPG-powered generators are available and can easily replace other available fuels.
Mosquito killer: An LPG-fuelled mosquito killer will reduce your insect problem. The appliance is becoming popular in tropical regions and is especially
suited for use on terraces where alternative power supplies are limited.
